Paranormal Investigators return for another month of trepidation!
It’s not long before the clocks go forward, and extra daylight saving hours are welcomed back for the most of us. January however, has been full of brave individuals who are clinging on to the dark as they have spent many nights wandering the wings hoping to catch a glimpse into the Paranormal at what is considered and known to be the most haunted prison in the world.
Throughout the first few weeks of 2023, we have had the pleasure of hosting multiple Paranormal Groups who have hired the site bringing along hundreds of eager, yet nervous Paranormal Investigators. Haunted Happenings were welcomed back for the new year a regular group who love nothing more than investigating the eerie cold wings of this Victorian Prison.
Arriving on Friday 13th, (which might be enough to keep some people away!) one of the individuals joining Haunted Happenings for the night was Jason Parker who seemed to have gotten a bit more than he bargained for on this particular cold and spooky night. Speaking to our Night Supervisor, Jo, Jason revealed he had a “very real experience” whilst videoing his walk around the Prison. Seeing an incredibly visible hand swipe across the front of the footage it was clear enough that with nobody else in front of the camera or even behind, he had not a single explanation as to what this could have been other than precisely the opposite . . . something unexplained.
Pictured below, you can see the lovely group of ghost hunters who joined us that night and everyone commented on the great amount of activity they saw and heard on their vigils.
Haunted Happenings joined us again later in the month, on Saturday 28th, for yet another investigation. Within the group there were two YouTubers, who eagerly took part in the event but were able to spend time alone to investigate the prison further.
One of the investigation methods used by Haunted Happenings is Mirror Scrying. Kate, the Night Supervisor working that evening, was invited to give it a go herself! By using this technique many have reported receiving messages or visions. The objective this time was for the face of the person looking in to the mirror to take the image of a former prisoner.
Also joining us this month was ParaSpirit Events run by Dale Field, who hosted an event on Saturday 21st. Joining us for a shortened Paranormal Investigation, this group had 4 hours of darkness as they explored. Accompanied by Dale and his four other Paranormal Spirit Investigators, the budding ghost hunters were split into smaller groups before they began to explore. With how vast the prison is, the groups will have not likely bumped into one another or interfered with each other’s ghost hunting methods and experiments.
As well as groups visiting on the weekends, we also welcomed in groups to experience ghostly sightings during weeknights too!
We welcomed a private investigation group, Ghost Phobia, on Wednesday 18th. The team of eight paranormal hunters spent their nights using some high-tech equipment, recording their vigils throughout the night. As many do, they also took plenty of digital photographs, in this instance, the group also used a polaroid camera to capture any ghostly encounters.
The team thoroughly enjoyed their night inside the prison and were excited at the paranormal experiences including doors slamming on A wing; one of the more notorious areas of the prison.
